STAR World is STAR Group's premiere English-language Entertainment TV-channel which is shown in the Asian region. The channel was the successor of STAR Plus, which is now the Hindi-language Entertainment Channel. The channel carries many of the shows from the United States to appeal to the expatriate community in the Indian subcontinent and South East Asia.

Although the channel shows the same programming, they mostly differ when it comes to showtimes.

Although STAR World is available in some provincial cable companies, some are showing the Philippine feed and some are also showing the SEAsia feed.

When the channel was re-launched for the 3rd time in 2005, the song that was played on their SIDs was "Let's Get It Started" by Black Eyed Peas.
On 11 June 2007, the song has been changed to "Love Today" by Mika. Station IDs
